Mary B. Pendleton is Of Counsel at Behar | Gibbs | Savage | Paulson LLP and brings more than four decades of experience as a trial lawyer defending attorneys and other licensed professionals in California. She has extensive experience managing complex professional liability matters and understands the business and time demands of her clients.
In addition to her practice, Mary has taught second-year law students for more than 10 years in professional responsibility and advanced legal research and writing. She has also held leadership roles managing attorneys and developing legal practice operations.
Her work has been recognized with numerous honors, including Defense Lawyer of the Year by San Diego Defense Lawyers (2007), recognition as one of the Top 25 Women Lawyers in San Diego (2008), and selection as a California Super Lawyer for multiple years. She also served as California State Representative for the Defense Research Institute from 2009 to 2011 and founded the San Diego State University Aztec Law Alumni group in 2021.
She earned her Juris Doctor from California Western School of Law in 1983 and her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, with a minor in Philosophy, from San Diego State University in 1979.
