Lucy C. MacAlister is an Associate at Behar | Gibbs | Savage | Paulson LLP, where she focuses on civil litigation and insurance defense. Her practice includes representing clients in matters involving premises liability, workers’ compensation defense, and general civil defense, with experience spanning both military and civilian legal settings.
During her time at Chapman University Fowler School of Law, Lucy served as a law clerk for the United States Army JAG Corps, where she gained exposure to military justice and advocacy for service members. She also worked in civil defense matters involving recreational and theme park clients. Prior to entering the legal field, she worked in mental health and substance abuse rehabilitation settings, an experience that informs her thoughtful and strategic approach to litigation and understanding of human behavior in legal disputes.
In addition to earning her Juris Doctor from Chapman, she holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, with a minor in Philosophy, from California State University, Fullerton. She is admitted to practice law in California.
