Laura Yates is the Corporate Operations Controller at Behar Gibbs Savage Paulson LLP, serving as a trusted strategic partner to the CFO. Laura’s career began in 2011 when she entered the corporate domain for a law firm. She has excelled in a variety of corporate roles eventually advancing her career into her current leadership position with the law firm. Throughout her career, she has been driven by a passion for continuous learning, professional growth, and taking on new challenges.
While she has always enjoyed working with numbers and operational processes, her greatest passion is working with people and building strong relationships both inside and outside the law firm. Providing newly hired attorneys with billing training has become a key area of Laura’s expertise. Among the most rewarding aspects of her career has been the opportunity to contribute to the onboarding experience we provide to new attorneys and building lasting relationships with them thereafter. She enjoys sharing her knowledge and helping others gain the confidence and skills they need to be successful at the law firm. Seeing others gain traction on the collective goals and succeed is one of the most fulfilling parts of her role.
