Jose Ramon Asuncion

Jose Ramon Asuncion is an Associate at Behar Gibbs Savage & Paulson LLP, where he represents clients in a broad range of litigation matters. His practice includes handling depositions, legal research, discovery matters, and general litigation support, with a focus on practical, results‑oriented advocacy.
Prior to joining the firm, Jose Ramon worked as staff counsel for an insurance carrier, where he gained valuable litigation experience serving first as a law clerk and later as a junior attorney. In that role, he assisted with case strategy, motion practice, and discovery, developing a strong foundation in litigation from the carrier perspective.
Jose Ramon earned his Bachelor of Science in Environmental Policy from the University of California, Davis, and his Juris Doctor from Santa Clara University School of Law. During law school, he participated in Moot Court, served as President of the Filipino American Law Students Association, and was a Board Member of the First Generation Law Students Association. He is also an active member in the Filipino American Bar Association.
