Don H. Ohnoki is Senior Counsel at Behar | Gibbs | Savage | Paulson LLP, where he focuses on insurance defense and complex civil litigation. He represents individuals, businesses, and insurance carriers in high-exposure matters, including personal injury, motor vehicle, premises liability, and construction defect cases throughout California.
He handles all phases of litigation, from initial case assessment through trial, and develops strategic, detail-driven defense plans grounded in thorough analysis of records, depositions, and expert evaluations. Don has chaired multiple jury trials and has extensive experience examining expert and percipient witnesses, as well as representing clients in depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings, including UIM arbitrations.
Clients value his analytical approach, strong courtroom presence, and ability to assess risk while positioning cases for favorable resolution or trial.
Don earned his Juris Doctor from California Western School of Law and his bachelor’s degree in history, with a minor in political science, from the University of California, Davis. He is a member of the State Bar of California, the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel, and the San Diego Defense Lawyers.
