Neil S. Tardiff is Of Counsel at Behar | Gibbs | Savage | Paulson LLP, where he oversees the firm’s appellate department and advises on post-trial matters. With more than four decades of legal experience, he has spent the past 15 years focusing on appellate and post-trial work, representing law firms, insurers, public entities, corporations, and other high-profile clients.
Earlier in his career, Neil handled large-exposure products liability, police misconduct, dangerous condition, and professional liability cases, including legal and medical malpractice. He also maintains a boutique trial and appellate practice in San Luis Obispo.
He previously clerked for Justice William P. Clark, Jr. of the California Supreme Court and later assisted on international legal matters during Justice Clark’s service in the White House.
Neil has held numerous leadership roles, including President of the San Luis Obispo County Bar Association and Chair of the State Bar of California’s Appellate Advisory Board. He is also active in pro bono work and founded a community legal hotline serving underserved populations.
He earned his Juris Doctor, with distinction, from McGeorge School of Law and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from California State Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo.
