Jon Anders Hammerbeck is Of Counsel at Behar | Gibbs | Savage | Paulson LLP and has been in practice for more than 45 years. He focuses on construction law and has extensive experience representing clients in complex construction disputes, including issues involving expert witnesses and indemnity. He is the author of numerous articles on construction law and related litigation topics.
Jon has been active in the Defense Research Institute (DRI), where he served on the Construction Law Committee for 15 years and chaired the 2016 Construction Law Seminar. He also served as California State Representative for DRI from 2022 to 2025. In addition, he is a member of the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel and the Association of Northern California Defense Counsel.
He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Southern California Law School and his Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude, from the University of California, San Diego in 1977.
